CrossFit Altrincham is the first provider of the CrossFit strength and conditioning programme in the Altrincham area. Founded by Nikki Harrison and Callum Stewart in 2015 we look to make a lasting impact on South Manchester and the surrounding areas.

CROSSFIT IS A STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING PROGRAM THAT CONSISTS OF AEROBIC EXERCISES, BODY WEIGHT EXERCISES AND OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING. THE OVER ACHING BODY OF CROSSFIT DESCRIBES IT AS A STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING PROGRAM THAT IS ESSENTIALLY "CONSTANTLY VARIED FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENTS EXECUTED AT HIGH INTENSITY ACROSS BROAD MODAL AND TIME DOMAINS".
OUR CLASSES CONSIST OF ONE HOUR LONG SESSIONS WITHIN OUR AFFILIATED GYM OR BOX. EACH CLASS WILL INCLUDE A THOROUGH WARM UP, A SKILL SECTION OF THE SESSION AND THEN A HIGH INTENSITY WOD (WORKOUT OF THE DAY). THE WOD COULD CONSIST OF A METCON (METABOLIC CONDITIONING) WORKOUT, A STRENGTH METCON OR A WORKOUT THAT IS FOCUSED AROUND A CERTAIN SKILL. YOUR PERFORMANCE WILL BE TRACKED AND RECORDED DAILY, GIVING YOU THAT IMPORTANT BACKUP TO MONITOR YOUR INDIVIDUAL PROGRESS. CROSSFIT SPECIALISES IN NOT SPECIALISING. THIS ENSURES THAT YOUR BODY DOES NOT COME CONDITIONINED TO A REPETITIVE LABOURED TRAINING PROGRAM AND NOR DO YOU PERSONALLY BECOME BORED WITH YOUR ROUTINE - "ROUTINE IS THE ENEMY". INSTEAD CROSSFIT PROVIDES ENDLESS VARIETY TO YOUR TRAINING PROGRAM TO MAXIMISE THE BENEFITS FROM YOUR WORKOUTS.
